He seems to be aiming away from the duck…
the chamber is open
Bolt is pulled back, leaving the chamber empty. So he can’t shoot anything at the time for there is no bullet to be shot out of the muzzle. Also his shooting stance is flawed, he isn’t leaning in with the rifle supporting shoulder. This severely damages his marksmanship. He probably won’t hit that duck a couple of feet in front of him with that sort of carelessness.
