It's been in the making for a long time but it is finally time to bring back the Revival Club Podcast. We have prided ourselves on having a multitude of different shows for our listeners to download and the Revival Club was a fun idea that just didn't pan out the way I envisioned it. Luckily, we have made some fundamental changes to the podcast to ensure it's success. The fourth episode will be recorded on February 21, 2010 and will cover Quantic Dream's "Indigo Prophecy" (known as Fahrenheit in Europe).

1.) First and foremost, the problem with our original concept was the time constraint. Trying to finish a game per month while trying to play new releases and balance a normal life at the same time was simply too stressful. To alleviate this, we will be allocating the appropriate amount of time to beat each game. Some games may take a month, some make take two, the important thing is that everyone has enough time to finish.
2.) Second, peoples taste in games is different. I realize that our first three games (Oddworld: Strangers Wrath, Splinter Cell Double Agent, and Jade Empire) might not have appealed to David and as a result, he didn't finish them. This time, we will fill chairs with people who are genuinely curious or enthusiastic about the game that is chosen.
3.) Furthermore, in an effort to get the community more involved, we will fill chairs on the show with community members each month. Skyliner & Darknezz are likely to appear on the show regularly and we intend to have one or two community guests on each show. To apply for a spot on the show, we will be creating a forum post and taking email applications. (Coming Soon)
4.) Lastly, To keep these shows relevant, each game chosen will relate to a major current game release or developer/publisher.
I imagine that Episodes 5 & 6 will likely be "Red Dead Revolver" and "Yakuza" so if you have any interest in participating, shoot me an email. Be sure to include all information requested in the forum thread. Even if you don't make it on one show doesn't mean we won't consider you for the next one. I will keep applicants on file for future shows.

I love the fact that you guys are still improving this great concept.
I love RCP simply because there's a lot more depth going on in the discussion that just presents the game so well to those that are unfortunate to miss out on playing those wonderful games.

I've rarely played a game with such a clear division between a pretty awesome first 2/3rds, up to about the big fall from the tower, then a total nosedive in quality for the last 1/3rd.
It felt like watching a DVD where two or three chapters from the last 40 minutes had been randomly deleted.
I really did enjoy those first 2/3rds though.

I would seriously consider applying to be on one of the revival club shows, but since all of my mics suck dick and I have never used skype before, its a bit of a non-possibility for me at the moment,

I played this twice about two years ago when Steam was selling it for about $2. DamonD is right in saying that the last 1/3 is falls short of the first 2/3.
I played Red Dead and Yakuza too, so this should be pretty relevant Revivals for me.

It seems to me like one guy was writing the first three quarters of Indigo Prophecy, then for the ending, passed the typewriter to a twelve year old "Dragon Ball Z" fanfiction writer. Worst ending to anything. Ever.
Point of fact, Revival Club: Indigo Prophecy is sure to be hilarious.
