Fallout: New Vegas. Pumped up in that “Carlos” way.

A new teaser trailer has been released for Fallout: New Vegas being developed by Obsidian Entertainment. Not much is known about the game. Not being a sequel to Fallout 3 it is supposed to take place in the same universe and provide “…the same sort of role-playing game experience seen in Fallout 3“. We’ll see what that means sometime this year.

One can’t help but notice the similarities between this teaser and the original Fallout 3 teaser.  The music, the way the camera pans, the subject matter.  Its almost the same teaser but with a different setting.

Good, the original Fallout 3 was great, if New Vegas can recreate it without changing it up too much it would be a pretty good game, in a new setting, heres hoping that the stuff they do change is for the better.

Looks pretty cool. I love the idea of an actual city in a Fallout game, because the most you got before was just a small town. I hope that they fix some of the problems Fallout 3 had with the maps though, sometimes they were downright annoying to navigate.

S[arton1199, what makes you say that this is a bad trailer? I thought it looked pretty good.

The only thing that has me worried is robots with TVs in them that we probably can’t turn off.

It’s still using Fallout 3′s engine, so that is a pretty big plus.

I also just kind of creamed in my pants a little.

I’m really looking foward to this game… so long as it still has the core gameplay from Fallout 3. It seems a lot of Fallout 1 and 2/Interplay and Obsidian fans have this passionate hated towards Bethesda for the changes they made to the series, but I personally loved it. Bethesda’s take on the Fallout universe just seemed more appealing and immersive to me. Thats not to say it was perfect. There’s still a list of tweaks, issues and additions I would love to see. This rumour article seems to have most of the things I was wishing for:

If even half of that stuff is true then I’m sold. As for the teaser, kind of sad that it isn’t in-game like the first Fallout 3′s footage, but it does give little details that really interest me. New Vegas looks like an incredibly large, working city, something I felt was missing in Fallout 3 (Even Rivet City felt small after you explored it for 10 minute), the size of the landscape further hints at vehicles being a part of the game, and there’s no doubt now that the NCR are going to play a large part in the story.

Also, I want that fucking trenchcoat and helmet. Like, badly.

I agree with Darknezz it is not a bad trailer but its sort of a tradition with fallout trailers isin’t it.
Hope the game isn’t to centererd around exploring the city ,
my home is the wasteland

Keep the news coming Joesph !

Towards Darknezz – You can turn them off. Fat Man works pretty well :P

The trailer was very original and i have no idea what this bull’ about fallout 3 is about.
Its completely original with a trench coat guy next to a falg and a 50′s tune while something is happening then a insightful remark on war.

I just started playing Fallout 3 on the PC and am loving it at the moment. This trailer has me even more pumped and I can’t wait to see what this game will have to offer.

Man, i hope some of those rumors are true. But, rumors are exactly that, wasn’t there a vehicle rumor for Fallout 3 back in the day?
