Well it looks like Platinum Games has struck…uhm…Platinum with their sexy action romp, man juice in the pants, extravaganza. Sega has released numbers showing sales of 1,100,000 million units sold on both the PS3 and the 360.
Congratulations Hideki Kamiya!
Now if you will excuse me, I have a date with a bottle of AstroGlide and a perfect dodge mechanic.

UPDATE: Joystiq is reporting that Bayonetta was only released in Japan during the period covered by this financial report. So its looking like that 1.1 million sales is Japan only.

I don’t mean to be a negative nancy or anything.
But “Worldwide on both platforms” is exactly a huge success. Especially since the game did pretty well in Japan. The January NPDs will be out soon enough. Then we will see them moment of truth.
From what I hear, Darksiders stomped it in the US. But who knows.
Brilliant, its good to see Bayonetta doing so well, lets just hope Yakuza 3 does just as good even with all the big releases around it.
What other countries besides Japan do these numbers include? If it’s just Japan and Bayonetta does decent in the U.S. there may be hope yet.
Eww Blandsiders, who gives a fuck about that game? Same goes for Dante’s Inferno.
2 of these are me
3 if you count me making my friend buy it too
This game deceivers every copy its sales, I hope they can carry on the characters in a sequel or new game, so if u have got it yet what r u waiting 4? this is a awesome game and worth the £40 I spent on it
Bayonetta is a hoe.. Right now over 1million nerdy virgins are touching her right now.. >_>
Dont talk about my Netta like that Oblivioncrow, i will find you |:
Ahem..but, yea.. SciFi is happeh :3
I’m happy for Platinum Games, I hope to see great things from in the future.
I’ve kind of gone back and forth on whether I want to see a sequel to this game, I think I’ve finally settled on NO. I think that Platinum Games should move to something else after the success of Bayonetta.
If the third act of this game wasn’t so bad, it’d easily be one of my favorites from 2009.
