Alan Wake, I beat the entire game in one night. Many things to say, and the words will come.

Until then…

It’s worth your money. People will remember this shit.

Same here. Beat the game in one night. Not sure if it is worth replaying.

Well thanks, you just spoiled the entire game for me D:

I’m hearing some pretty mixed stuff about this game, some people say it’s average, some are saying it’s one of the most memorable horror games ever. Sounds kind of like the reception the first FEAR got.

I agree with Darknezz…. EVAR!

But on a side not: Seriously? One night? Is it really that short? :(
I suppose that time frame could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it and the gamer. But that just seems awfully short to me.

Looking forward to all those words and things to say that “will come.”

Wow, and here I thought I was going to be dupped into reading every spoiler of the game (Yet I bravely/stupidly clicked on this anyway) and it turns out the title is accurate. Huh, I need to put a bit more faith in Travis it seems. :|

So far, from what I’ve played (EU release date for the win bitches) it seems a good game. Controls feel nice, lighting/darkness looks absolutely freaking beautiful, combat is genuinely tense at times and the plot so far, while just a tiny-teeny bit contrived, it’s still interesting and at least a must see for Stephen King or Twin Peaks aficionados.

The length of the game wouldn’t suprise me though. I’ve already finished Episode Two and I believe there’s 6-8 in total. Thats why I’ve decided to play one episode a day, so as to pace myself. Hey, they went through the trouble of structuring it like this, the least I can do is experience it that way.

This is the kind of game I love. Its got an allure to it I think. I can’t wait to play it, but that may take a while as I do not yet own a 360. Curses, my plans are foiled again.

The game is IMO very short for an action game but it’s still a very good game. Good controls, good combat system, good visuals. One big problem with this game is probably the replayability. Anyway maybe not a good buy but a good rent.

Nice review. I’ve been curious about this game for a while, honestly, and I’m glad I could find a reliable source for an opinion.

Really? What I saw on the feed didn’t look so great. Does it get better, or am I just a big dumb jerk?

Travis beat this in one night?

This means that either the game is criminally short or that Travis was hooked until the end of the story. Or both. Given that Travis doesn’t, to my knowledge, complete games too often (not a negative thing, but please correct me if I am wrong) I am wagering on the former.

Guess we’ll find out in the full review.
