Marathon Week: Fundraiser Edition

Alright guys. Here’s the rundown. We’re going to Los Angeles again this year for our annual E3 coverage. The four of us will be joined by first timers Joseph and Ben.

The Media Badges have been sent out and we’re busy making appointments with game companies. Exciting right?

Well, there is only one problem. The show is on June 15th and we haven’t purchased our plane tickets yet! Why? Well, long story short we had some problems with scheduling and finances. And now we’re in a bit of a pickle and we could use some help.

How can you help? All this week, starting today, we will be poop-socking (marathoning) all kinds of different games. We have created a Chip-In that will allows you to donate via Pay-Pal if you choose to and all money raised will go towards covering plane tickets. Everything else, such as living arrangements and car rentals will be covered by ourselves.

No contribution is too small as every bit helps, but please do not feel obligated to donate. Just being supportive in chat and helping spread the word about this weeks events are the best things you can do to help.

On the other hand, for those who donate, we will be giving away some 4Player Podcast related merchandise via a raffle at the end of the week. So Thanks again everyone.

We’ll see you on the feed,
Brad

As a suggestion, how about the more you donate the more entries you get into the raffle?

Say, for every 5 dollars you donate you get 1 raffle ticket. Or maybe 1 ticket for every 1 dollar. If there’s any amount underneath the ticket requirement then it’s rounded down/up.

Again, just a suggestion.

I donated earlier today. Not much but I hardly use Paypal so there’s not much on there ^^ Hope you get enough money

so nek are you saying if someone donate 20$ they get more raffle tickets than some one who donated 10$ or is it you only get 1 ticket per donation regardless of amount??

I’m saying that if you at least donate you’ll get 1 ticket no matter how much you donate. But say if you donated 20 dollars compared to someone who donated 5, the guy who donated more will get more tickets.

Still a suggestion.

Awesome. It looks like you guys are going to E3. I’m still amazed that you got all the money in the first day.
Maybe you could do a fund raiser for some random charity for the rest of the marathon?

Wow if you did this everyday you could quit your day jobs and do the show full time. There are obviously a lot of people, me included, who love what you guys do and are impressed with the dedication to the show you’ve shown since you first started. Congratulations and I look forward to you’re coverage from E3.

Tremendous!

Like everyone else, I’m surprised but happy that the donation was hit so quickly.
Awesome stuff.

I’ll still try to chip in a bit of cash when I get paid at the end of the week.

Very fast community. I’m still going to donate even if you guys surpassed your original goal, just because I have a few spare dollars left in my Paypal I never use.

Crazy how you guys got so many donations in just a few days.

Further proving that 4pp has a great community, if it wasn’t already obvious.
