So have you gone to WhatIsIcarus.com lately? Its the website for the unannounced Irrational Games project that has had nothing more than a vague title and a (mostly) blank teaser site to go along with it. That is, until today. This morning this site was updated with a date and time, 'August the 12th, At 1:45 PM, Eastern Daylight Time' possibly announcing, as is standard practice for the industry now, the date of an announcement.
Whatever the case, this week we will know more than we did last week. And that's something isn't it? Speculation has been blowing around like an air born virus, and everything from a new System Shock game to it being a totally new IP have been thrown through the Great Gaming Guessing Machine. But having created System Shock and the Bioshock series, I'm excited to see what Ken Levine and his team are about to serve up next.

No need for a question mark in the title, they said in last weeks Irrational Behavior podcast that they were announcing their new game on the 12th.

Oh man, I had to scan this article twice. I originally read it as "Project Kid Icarus from Irrational Games" and I did a double-take.
Been waiting for a while now to see what Levine's up to, I doubt it will disappoint.

I have hope that this will be a completely new IP. Another system shock game would be nice sure, but in a gaming era where sequels and franchise revivals sell the most I always find it refreshing to see people put new IPs out there. All indicators seem to be pointing to that being the case which is good.
Either way I'm pretty pumped to see what it is. I'm not drooling at the mouth or anything but as a gamer this stuff can be pretty exciting.
