Considering that Skyward Sword could be the last major first party title for the Nintendo Wii through the end of 2012 (and perhaps the console's life) there is very little incentive left to actually pull yours out of the closet and dust it off. Well, that was the case until today.
Finally relenting after a massive fan campaign, Nintendo of America announced on their Facebook page this morning that Xenoblade Chronicles would be coming to the United States on April 3, 2012. Released in Japan last year and in Europe this past August, Xenoblade had previously been the target of Operation Rainfall, an organized effort that hoped to influence Nintendo into publishing three RPG titles, the other two being The Last Story and Pandora's Tower, in the West.
Though whether it will sell well or not is questionable (given the state of the market I'm not putting my hopes up) I'm very excited to see that it's finally coming to our shores. It's fair to suggest that The Last Story and Pandora's Tower's fates lie in those sales numbers so if you own a Wii and love RPGs please help do your part to bring those two titles over here as well!

According to the official PR that Nintendo of America just sent out, the game will be sold exclusively through GameStop retail outlets and Nintendo.com's website for $49.99.

Great news indeed, but since it is only on the Wii and I don't own a Wii, it is not a must-play for me. Maybe I'll play it if my cousin can lend his Wii to me.
