Some screenshots have been released (leaked?) in video form from the Assassin's Creed III gameplay presentation at PAX East.
They show some of the outside areas and large American Revolution battles the developers have been talking about. Though some people seem to be commenting about the textures, I would say to hold back your judgement. These are early screens, and were probably never meant to see the light of day to the general public. Take them with a grain of salt.

Its pretty interesting how they will make levels revolving around large battles I want to see how they will blend stealth into these settings. Maybe the ability to play dead amongst corpses on the battlefield?
